Akbar-abad is a 60 years old uninforced concrete arch bridge locaded on Km24+000 of Iranian railway network. The bridge consists of five spans of 6 meters. To determine the ultimate load carrying capacity of the bridge, static and dynamic load tests are carried out on the bridge. The bridge is loaded by upto 500 tons, during static load tests. Deflection of the bridge is recorded in 9 points using deflection meters. During dynamic load tests, a 120 tons locomotive is used, which crossed the bridge with speeds ranging from 10 to 90 km/h.
